AB SCIEX has launched the world’s most sensitive mass spectrometer by introducing its 6500 series of mass spectrometry systems. The new AB SCIEX Triple Quad 6500 and QTRAP 6500 featuring next generation IonDrive technology are about 10 times more sensitive than the other best selling high performance triple quadrupole systems available in the market.  AB SCIEX released the 6500 series of systems at ASMS 2012 held at Vancouver, Canada.

The multi-component IonDrive technology used in AB SCIEX 6500 series increases the generation, transmission and detection of more ions to deliver unmatched enhanced sensitivity. IonDrive Turbo V provides an improved ionization source combined with IonDrive QJet guide for ion transmission along with IonDrive High Energy detector with a 20x increased detector dynamic range makes the system more sensitive and making it possible for scientists to carry out quantitation in complex matrices while maintaining the reproducibility and robustness. AB SCIEX 6500 platform is also compatible with the novel SelexION Technology delivering a new dimension of selectivity in differential ion mobility spectrometry.
